Client: Shasta Holiday Promotion

Type of service: Cause Marketing

The Situation:

  • Shasta was looking for a way to improve their cause marketing efforts and at the same time be able to make a contribution to St. Jude's and The City of Hope.

The Inspiration:

  • Leveraging the classic Santa image and taking it to the next level, the team created a proprietary holiday cola, "St. Nick's", along with an accompanying holiday promotion.
  • Always keeping the consumer and trade audiences in mind, the promotion was supported through newspaper, end-aisle displays, and trade incentives.
  • The key was tying holiday sales to a fundraiser for St. Jude's and The City of Hope.

The Results:

  • Not only did it visually associate our client with the positive image of the #1 brand in the category but it also resulted in significant, positive PR.
  • The sincerest form of flattery and sign of success is that this promotion has been repeated year after year.
